Stepping Into 2025: Showing Up for My Business in a Whole New Way

As we step into 2025, I’m setting a personal and business goal that pushes me outside my comfort zone: showing up differently for my business. This year, I am committed to participating in as many vendor events as possible. This isn’t just about setting up a table and hoping for the best—it’s about intentionally growing, learning, and making meaningful connections.

Why Vendor Events?

Vendor events are more than just a place to showcase my photography—they are opportunities to build relationships, network with other businesses, and engage with my community in a whole new way. While I’ve done a few in the past, I know there’s so much more potential when I approach them with strategy and confidence. I may not know exactly what that strategy looks like yet, but I know the potential is there. Vendor events provide the space for me to share my passion for photography—why it’s important to me and how I want to help others celebrate their moments through it.

Growth Through Networking and Public Speaking

One of the biggest challenges I’m embracing is learning to confidently talk about my work. I love what I do, but I want to refine how I communicate that passion to others. That means:

  • Practicing my elevator speech until it feels natural and effortless.

  • Getting comfortable speaking in front of people.

  • Learning to engage more deeply with those who visit my booth.

A New Way to Showcase My Art

My photography isn’t just about taking pictures—it’s about creating artwork that becomes part of a family’s legacy. Vendor events allow me to display my work in a tangible way, letting people see, feel, and connect with the art I create. This year, I plan to experiment with new ways to present my work so potential clients can truly envision these pieces in their homes.

Building Confidence & Collaboration

Showing up consistently means more than just personal growth; it also opens doors for collaboration. I want to connect with other small businesses, find ways to support each other, and build a network of creatives and entrepreneurs who uplift one another.

This goal isn’t just about gaining more clients—it’s about becoming a stronger business owner and a better communicator. It’s about stepping into spaces with confidence, sharing my passion for photography, and embracing new challenges head-on.

I’m excited (and a little nervous), but I know that growth happens when we step outside of what’s comfortable. Here’s to a year of showing up, speaking up, and leveling up!
