Becoming a Boutique Photographer: Goodbye Digitals, Hello ARTWORK.

Why I made changes in my business.

My portrait photography has done a complete 180 when it comes to serving families, quinceañeras, and graduates.

This change happened in the last quarter of 2022. It was a change that needed to happen.

For about three to four years, while I was battling with my depression, I wanted to give up on my photography. Cancel all of my subscriptions that went into my photography business (editing software, social media planning apps, website, and client management apps), and sell all of my camera equipment. The passion wasn't there anymore. I wasn't moving forward business-wise. I didn't have the energy to keep going. I was basically sleepwalking in my business. Just doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.

However, despite how I felt, every time I prayed to God about giving up photography, He told me not to. He brought you as a client. He would send someone asking me about how my photography was going and that everything will be ok.

I remember during a senior portrait session at ASU Campus, a stranger came up to me and said "I see what you're doing. You are going a great job. Keep doing what you're doing."

That was God letting me know not to give up, every single time.

Joining Boutique Breakthrough 2.0

It was probably late August or early September, I sat down at my computer, ready to level up my portrait photography business. This time, I knew I had to change something. Editing my website, AGIAN, posting on social media, publishing blogs, and changing my workflow wasn't going to help me level up and take my business to the next level.

This time, I was determined to accept help and invest in a photography business coach. I prayed about it and God answered. He brought Sarah Petty's YouTube and Facebook into my feed. This was when she was offering Boutique Breakthrough 2.0 for the first time. She updated her coaching program.

Boutique Breakthrough 2.0 offers photographers an opportunity to learn how to put family first and serve their clients with the artwork. Boutique Breakthrough helps photographers to value their art, see their worth and embrace it.

I joined Sarah Petty's Boutique Breakthrough 2.0 in October of 2022. It wasn't an easy decision to make. I was worried I was going to burn out. That my anxiety will get the best of me. That I wasn't going to follow through. There was a lot going on this month. While I was researching what Boutique Breakthrough 2.0 was all about, I felt God's peace.

Yes, I was worried.

Yes, I was hesitating.

Yes, my anxiety was acting up.

But above all those feelings, I felt God's peace.

So, after listening to and researching what Sarah's photography business coaching has to provide, it was a no-brainer. I made the investment for myself and for my future career in photography. BEST INVESTMENT EVER. Thank God for credit cards.

Goodbye Digitals, HELLO ARTWORK

As I was learning and doing the work, I was able to apply the changes to my business.

And guess what? I got different results!

One of the big changes is letting go of digitals. I've been wanting to offer prints, aka, custom wall portraits for a long time. But I never knew how to step away from digitals and start offering wall art. Now, thanks to Boutique Breakthrough 2.0, I was able to shift my business away from digitals and offer an experience that you and your family can cherish for generations.

Why Custom Portrait Wall Art?

During the program, I felt and saw what my portrait photography can provide. And how a photography business that offers custom wall art serves families better. Portrait wall art is meant to last for generations. Photos from your family sessions, from celebrating your quince and achieving a great accomplishment of graduating from school, deserve to have space in your home. Portraits celebrating your family are designed to be hung in your home to be seen, enjoyed, appreciated, build self-esteem, bond with family, and over time become a treasured heirloom.

And guess what? I want to help you decorate your home with portraits celebrating your family. I'll be with you every step of the way. From a personalized consultation where we discuss locations, clothing, styling, and art placement on the walls of your home, to an ordering presentation where I'll help you select the best images specifically for you.

This is why I have made the investment. This is why my business made a 180, to ensure your portraits don’t stay on your computer, phone, and social media, but get hung on your walls for you to enjoy every day.

I'm excited about this new journey. I trust that God has me on this path for a reason and I have faith in Him.

Philippians 4:13-14 - "Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heaven in Christ Jesus"

I'm hoping you become part of it. Explore my website. Explore my blog. And fill out the contact form if you would like to learn more about my boutique portrait photography business.

And thank you for supporting my business and for trusting me in capturing moments of your family. I wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't for you. Thank you.
