AMOR: My Word for 2025

Starting the Year with AMOR

It’s February, el mes del amor, and while the new year technically started last month, I’m just now taking a moment to reflect and set my intentions. Life moves fast, and sometimes, we get so caught up in the hustle that we forget to pause and truly embrace the moment.

This year, I’ve chosen a word to guide me—AMOR (love).

A Shift in Perspective

In the past, I often found myself going through the motions—checking things off my to-do list simply because they had to get done. Or because I wanted to make a good impression or please the people around me. I approached my faith, art, and relationships with a sense of obligation, thinking I was being present, but in reality, I wasn’t truly enjoying the moment.

I would drag my feet, roll my eyes, and do things because I had to—not because I wanted to.

Then, my boyfriend said something simple yet profound: “If you’re going to do something, do it with love.”

That’s when it hit me.

The love, the passion, the spark… it had faded.

Fanning the Flame

So, this year, my goal is simple: to feed the flame.

I want to fan the fire of passion in everything I do—whether it’s how I show up in my work, how I nurture my relationships, or even how I take time for myself.

I want to not just make them. I want to create with love, serve with love, and live with love.

Because when you do things with love, everything feels different.

So here’s to a year of AMOR—a year of passion, presence, and purpose.

What’s your word for the year? How are you embracing it? Let’s make 2025 a year filled with love.
