Howā€™s Quince Practice Going with Your Court of Honor?

Howā€™s your quince practice coming along?

How many chambelanes do you have? Are you including damas too?

And tell meā€”whatā€™s oneĀ song youā€™re planning to dance to with your court? (Drop it in the commentsā€”I wanna know!)

I still remember the mix of excitement and stressĀ during my own quince practices.

The excitement? That was easy. It was my day. A whole day, just for me.

The stress? Wellā€¦ there was a lot to plan and get right. šŸ˜…

But honestly? It was all so worth it.

What made it even more special was knowing my cousins, my brother, and my closest friendsĀ were showing up just for me. They gave their time to practice, and that meant everything.

Donā€™t Forget to Appreciate Your Court ā¤ļø

Your quince is amazingā€”but itā€™s not just about you.

Itā€™s your family, friends, and court of honorĀ that make it unforgettable.

Theyā€™re investing their time and energy to celebrate with you.

So be patientĀ when practices get messy, and take a moment to say "thank you." Trust meā€”it goes a long way.

6 Fun Poses to Try with Your Court of Honor šŸ“ø

Alrightā€”letā€™s talk pictures.

Do you consider yourself photogenic?

How about your chambelanesā€”do they know how to pose? šŸ˜‚

Got any ideas for how you want your group shots to look?

If notā€”donā€™t worry. I got you.Ā Below are 6 fun, must-try posesĀ for you and your court of honor to try during your park photoshoot. These arenā€™t stiff, awkward posesā€”theyā€™re fun, full of personality, and guaranteed to get everyone smiling (even the shy ones).

The Poses:

  1. The Classic Group Shot

  2. The ā€œI Can Flyā€ Jump Pose

  3. The Runway Walk

  4. The Superpowers Pose

  5. The ā€œLetā€™s Be Weirdā€ Moment

  6. The Squad Pose

Yesā€¦ I know the names are a little cringy. I was tryingĀ to be cool šŸ˜Ž

(Pretty sure it didnā€™t workā€”but hey, the poses still look awesome!)

šŸ‘‡ Scroll down to see what each pose looks like and how to do it!

The Classic Group Shot

This oneā€™s a must. The quinceaƱera stands in the middle, with her court of honor evenly spacedĀ on both sides. Chambelanes usually stand tall with their hands in their pockets. If there are damas, they can strike a pose with a hand on their hip.

Itā€™s clean, elegant, and timelessā€”the ultimate ā€œall eyes on youā€ photo.Ā šŸ‘‘

Think magazine cover, but make it quince.

Pro Tip:Ā Shoulders back, chill smileā€”not stiff. You got this.

The ā€œI Can Flyā€ Jump Pose

When was the last time you watched Peter Pan?

This pose gives off major Neverland energyā€”like that moment when Peter, Wendy, and the crew are learning how to fly with a little help from pixie dust.

Hereā€™s how it works:

You and your court stand in a line (you in the middle, of course šŸ˜‰), and on the count of 3ā€”everyone jumps with their arms out like theyā€™re taking off.

It might take a few tries to get the perfect mid-air shot, but when it lands? āœØ Magic.

Pro Tip:Ā Donā€™t be scared to go all outā€”yes, even big dresses can fly (in a cute, floaty way).

The Runway Walk

You know that moment in a fashion show when the model struts down the runway like they own it? Yeahā€”thatā€™s the energy.

For this pose, you and your court walk straight toward the camera like itā€™s your own Quince Fashion Week. Show off those dresses, tuxes, and most importantlyā€”confidence. Itā€™s fun, it gets everyone laughing, and it totally loosens things up during the session.

Fierce. Confident. Runway ready.

Laugh, smirk, serve faceā€”this is your moment.

Pro Tip:Ā Big steps, soft smiles, and a little drama. Walk like the camera owes you something.

Girl Got Superpowers

The name says it all.

Think anime vibes. Think Avatar: The Last Airbender. Think youĀ with glitter powers.

Hereā€™s how it works:

The quinceaƱera stretches out her armsĀ like sheā€™s blasting a force field forwardā€”and the court reacts like theyā€™ve just been hit with full-on magic.

Fly backward, stumble, jumpā€”whatever brings the drama.Ā šŸ’„

Youā€™re the hero. Theyā€™re your backup.

Pro Tip:Ā The more over-the-top, the better. Yesā€”even the chambelanes have to fully commit to the moment!

Let's Be Weird

This is your chance to drop the serious stuffĀ and just have fun.

This pose is all about being goofy, dramatic, extra, annoyingĀ (in a lovable way)ā€”whatever your vibe is.

Iā€™ll usually say something like, ā€œLetā€™s do a fun one!ā€Ā Then Iā€™ll direct the quinceaƱera to show off her dress or makeup, and the chambelanes to point at her like ā€œwoahhhā€.

Or Iā€™ll have the whole group get close and hit their best ā€œcool pose.ā€

Pure chaosā€”in the best way.

Make silly faces, strike weird poses, jump mid-spin, laugh too hardā€¦

This is your groupā€™s chance to let your personalities shine.

Pro Tip:Ā Thereā€™s no such thing as ā€œtoo weirdā€ here. Let it all out.

The Squad PoseĀ

This one usually happens after the surprise dance, when everyoneā€™s finally loosened up. The nerves are gone, the performance is over, and now itā€™s time to just celebrate.

Iā€™ll gather the group, have them hug, lean in, or strike a ā€œcoolā€ poseĀ together. Itā€™s always one of the most natural shotsā€”everyoneā€™s smiling, relaxed, and just happy to be there.

Loyal crew, but make it aesthetic.

Stand or kneel close together with arms crossed, leaning in like the baddest crew at the partyĀ (because you are).

Pro Tip:Ā Got matching sneakers, sunglasses, or coordinated colors? Use them. It takes the whole shot to the next level.

Now do the cringy pose names make a little more sense? šŸ˜…

If they do, hit that šŸ’œ at the bottom right!

And tell me in the commentsā€”which pose are you most likely to try for your quince?

Or better yet, whatā€™s one pose I should add to the list for next time?Ā Iā€™m always down to try something new!
